Jim’s Daily Rant. My Meditation Speech. Part III – Time Traveling Backward and Forward.

Around the age of 15 I found a copy of Psycho Cybernetics. The book defines the mind-body connection as the core in succeeding in attaining personal goals.
Maltz found that his plastic surgery patients often had expectations that were not satisfied by the surgery, so he pursued a means of helping them set the goal of a positive outcome through visualization of that positive outcome.[3] Patients thinking that surgery will solve their problems is an example of the XY problem. Maltz became interested in why setting goals works. He learned that the power of self-affirmation and mental visualization techniques used the connection between the mind and the body.
He specified techniques to develop a positive inner goal as a means of developing a positive outer goal. This concentration on inner attitudes is essential to his approach, as he believes that a person's outer success can never rise above the one visualized internally. Source
Now lets go a little deeper. I once read of a study that proved that mentally picturing yourself exercising actually improved your muscle strength. One study took leg injured athletes and had them exercise their good leg while visualizing them doing it also with the bad leg. The bad leg was strengthened as well, just not as good.
Traveling Back In Time:
Getting back to Psycho Cybernetics, Maltz located two men that had similar disfiguring scars on their faces. One was emotionally destroyed by it and ashamed. The other was extremely proud of it. His was a saber cut received defending the honor of a lass. To him it was a badge of honor.
Miss Andalusia could have paid a shrink to use hypnosis to take her back to that red light and change her perception from shame, horror and guilt; the most embarrassing moment in her life, into something else. Instead that moment would then elicit memory of the love she felt on the next night when she was proposed to. All future recollections would fill her with endorphins instead of Adrenalin.
What Maltz was actually teaching was self-hypnosis. Miss Andalusia could use this technique to intentionally go back and change her perception of that day to a funny youthful memory instead. She always had the power to do this. Who knows, perhaps the conversation we had might have done the trick.
Traveling Forward In Time.
The broken back story demonstrated real time experience changes created intentionally by the mind. Now let’s go forward in time to create much more complex changes in our earth experience.
The Robin Williams movie What Dreams May Come depicts this for us to learn from. It demonstrated what Quantum Physics tells us is possible – that we create some events that occur in our lives. The book & Video The Secret (Rhonda Byrne) and the literature & Videos on The Law Of Attraction are cook books on how to do this.
But allow me to simplify it. Suppose you go into a counter restaurant and take a seat after ordering. The server brings out a cow tongue sandwich. You go crazy! But you have forgotten that is what you ordered. Now picture the same scenario but instead of you it is a hypochondriac and instead of a sandwich it is Antarctic Frostbite Fever.

Once you prove to yourself it is real, you will shorten the time from thought to creation. You are really cooking when it gets down to a day or so for fruition.

This is where the evolution we are currently experiencing is taking us – to this.
We will be creating more with our minds in the future. We already have the tools and knowledge. We just need to acknowledge and mass practice it. When a great many focus on it, so it will be.
