I recently watched an interview with Ron Maxwell, the Director of the 1993 movie Gettysburg . In one segment of that interview, Maxwell told of the shooting of the scene of Col. Chamberlain defending their position atop Little Round Top. The original battle position was now overgrown with trees with thick brush underneath.
