Jim’s Daily Rant. 24 Months Of Food Or 3 Months of Food Needed?

Today I was in an email conversation with a reader on the recent Greg Hunter Interview titled You Need 2 Years of Food – Martin Armstrong. We had a great open discussion on “What’s a mother to do in this situation. The reader has been a longtime subscriber to Armstrong’s newsletter and values his opinion.

I have only followed Armstrong’s free podcasts. In fact, other than Clif High’s Alto reports over the years, I have refused to purchase any subscriptions. This is why. Once I began writing I felt I needed to be in the same zone as my readers, without heavy investments in subscriptions.

I did not choose this because I am broke or cheap. I wished to write from the same news releases as every one else. Also, If I paid for the ideas, I was afraid I would give them more weight than what my gut and dreams were driving me to write. So I left the big subscriptions alone. I did the same with the bible. I did not wish to hobble my critical thinking any more than it already was.

The reader’s position is that Armstrong’s predictions are holding accurate. I feel that Armstrong’s model does not factor in the White Hats Alliance and that he is focusing only of the financial markets and global movements of money by the big people. But I may be wrong. This is where our conversation moved to.

Before we go any further, let me share this life changing event I had.

I was working on my Masters in Computer Science and was required to take Discrete Math.

It was an advanced math that after struggling through it I finally figured out that it was so named because it's answers were well kept in secret. It is a math for when there are several correct answers to a question. Such as “How many adults can you get into a five seat SUV?” Hint: City or in the middle of a desert? It is used by programmers to mimic nature, such as hurricane prediction models.

The first night of class a 32 year old small (4' 11") black professor walked out. Now mind you, I am in Florida. He introduced himself with a beautiful British accent which shocked me as I had never experienced that before.

He laid out the course and the text book. He then said the course would be most difficult and to make sure we each were up to it. If not, we had 3 days to drop the class for a refund.

He then gave us a simple statistics problem of how many unique license plates can a prison produce if there were only two characters on it. The first character is a number and the second is alphabetical.

We all began stating it was 260 (10 X 26).

He declared we were wrong and as we kept insisting on 260 he began to insult us stating he thought Americans were good in math but this problem could be easily answered by an 8th grader in his home country. I mean he was beginning to really insult us when a young girl demanded his answer.

He went to the board and wrote 10 in the first box and 24 in the second and then multiplied them. He was immediately corrected. He turned around with a huge scowl on his face and said "I am from Cameroon, Africa. Our alphabet only has 24 characters in it.”

He continued “The next time you hard wire your program, you had better realize there is more than just your view of reality!” He then lectured on many of the common traps programmers can step in from bad assumptions. I learned more that night then the entire semester!

So I learned that math models may be leaving some variables out of them, intentionally or unintentionally.

With that being said, perhaps we are watching a giant game of chicken. The big money controls the world and will move in the direction that is good for them, I agree with that.

But who will blink first? The big money crowd or the ones who do not want to be killed because they delayed the cure too long and as a result 4 billion more people died?

Is, and if so, how, would that be placed in your computer model?_____________________________________

So we agreed there is no real answer as only time will tell. Sorry Folks.
