Many times we have seen the Westerns in which the calvary is being chased by the Indians. A few in the column are killed and the rest escape. I always that was to give the Indians enough taste of revenge so they would not continue the chase for days.

Today we see: TRUMP ANNOUNCES NEW LEADERSHIP AT DHS.

President Donald Trump on Thursday said he was ousting Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem from that post and replacing her with Sen. Markwayne Mullin, an Oklahoma Republican.

Noem’s chief adviser, Corey Lewandowski, will also leave his position at the Department of Homeland Security, MS NOW reported.

Trump’s termination of Noem, MS NOW reported, was largely due to her claim in testimony to a Senate panel on Tuesday that the president had personally approved a $220 million taxpayer-funded ad campaign about DHS immigration enforcement.

The campaign, which involved a Republican consulting firm with ties to Noem and DHS, prominently featured Noem in commercials. In one case, she was shown on horseback with Mount Rushmore in the background. Source: CNBC

TRUMP ANNOUNCES NEW LEADERSHIP AT DHS

President Donald J. Trump made a major announcement early this morning on Truth Social, posting at 01:41 AM on March 5, 2026, that U.S. Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma will become the next Secretary of Homeland Security, with the appointment set to take effect March 31.

In his message, President Trump thanked current Secretary Kristi Noem for what he described as outstanding work, particularly in securing the border. Rather than stepping away from public service, Noem will move into a new strategic role as Special Envoy for “The Shield of the Americas,” a new Western Hemisphere security initiative scheduled to be unveiled Saturday in Doral, Florida.
