Jim’s Rant For The Day. My Apology For Tardiness In Posting The Past Month.
Updated: Apr 5, 2022
My wife purchased an on-lot double wide mobile home for the farm last August. There were delays in pulling permits and then we had to partition the land so a second residence could be added. Three weeks ago the home was finally delivered.
All the construction crews have completed the installation and now we are slowly awaiting building inspections before the power can be turned on. The power company will have to install two new feeder poles to get us power.
On top of all that, Betty had a detached retina eighteen months ago. Six months ago she had to have it repaired a second time. Then Three months ago she had back pains possibly from a slipped disk. It took two months for nature to take care of itself and she was able to stay away from surgery.
Then after my hospitalization (Covid like?) for 9 days a month ago, she got shingles two weeks ago I assume from the stress. Today she discovered her other eye has a detached retina and must undergo surgery tomorrow. I am grateful it happened today and not next month!
We are half moved in the new home next door and I can finish moving the kitchen over the next two weeks, so her absence is no real problem.
My only problem now is she wants a curved garden bridge. I am lifting weights currently to build up my arms so I can bend the two required 12 foot long 2 X 12s! Even in bad health that woman can ride my back!
Attached is a picture of the fake fireplace she had me build in the end of the hallway. Also is the same office setup I had the past 25 years at two locations.

It's looking good. Congratulations on your new home. I hope that soon you can both enjoy it in good health. Blessings!!
