Jim’s Daily Rant. What Would A Reasonable Precious Metals Retailer Do?

What would you do if you knew for certain that when a day comes that everybody will try to get into your shop to purchase metals to save then from inflation, the Dollar collapse and failing banks?

You have probably had nightmares of the normal two customers you now have fifty crowded in and half of them are packing guns. Calmness doesn’t seem to be around you as your inventory is depleted. Wow, what a bad dream you think afterward.

Then two days later it dawns on you what you will be doing after work during those days. For simplicity sake lets talk about silver only. Once home you go over the books. * You sold half of your inventory and took in a ton of cash Dollars.

* Tonight you have to try to order much more silver that you started with, from suppliers with dwindling supplies. * But this time the purchase price doubles over yesterday’s price. * Tomorrow you will sell All of your remaining inventory and have tell customers to come back.

* The next day you will have even more customers and chaos in your store.

* That day you will go home exhausted from the days work but satisfied you helped people desperate to exchange their Dollars for silver guaranteed to skyrocket in price, protecting their futures.

* Tonight you have to try to order much more silver that you started with, from suppliers with dwindling supplies. * But this time the purchase price doubles over yesterday’s price.

* Then you realize you are selling silver for declining Dollars, the opposite of what your panicked customers are trying to day. You are now holding Dollars that are being eaten by hyper-inflation.

* Tomorrow you may be shot by a robber as the wealth in your shop is so high now and the chaos is conducive for a hold up.

About now wouldn’t you decide to remove all the metals and close the store? Why would you need the store anyway now that your metals make you a multi-millionaire?

This is why I feel the prices will skyrocket a few days after the world catches on. There will be no vendors left in business as they will all have retired. That just leaves Ebay.
