Jim’s Daily Rant. Venezuela 409

When I worked for a computer sales company I installed a state of the art Inventory software software to track our purchases, inventory and shipments. These were $60,000 computers the size of a refrigerator with disk drives resembling washing machines, all considered “Midis”, new technology.

The computers had 10 digit model numbers describing the cabinet contents. I later learned that computer technology doubled in capacity every three years. My experience was more like every 18 months during the Midi period.

We started getting used ones from upgrades. My problem was the inventory software would not allow a section for used equipment. Therefore the sales force didn’t know what was what.

I found out the first thing the Engineers did was have the cabinet cleaned with Formula 409 household cleaner. Now our inventory detail had line items for the 10 Digit model number followed by a dash and “409”.

Today’s headline of TRUMP designates Maduro member of FOREIGN TERRORIST ORG. 'CARTEL de los SOLES' caught my attention. I think the new Republic of America will soon have a new member: Venezuela – 409. Before entering it must be scrubbed up from the Cartels.
