That is exactly what happened this past week. In this White House Announcement: Trump Signed Executive Order Today, ensuring that all federal agencies are accountable to the American people, as required by the Constitution, we see devolution at its best.

In that announcement, this is a key section:

The President and the Attorney General (subject to the President’s supervision and control) will interpret the law for the executive branch, instead of having separate agencies adopt conflicting interpretations.

That is the order for all Agency codes to be reconciled back to the Constitution.

I don’t believe the Constitution gave unelected persons the right to pass laws on their own and set fines and taxes on their own. All of that should have been done by Congress.

Therefore, this is the ultimate slashing of the tires on agencies and their dominion over free men. No more taxation without representation.
