Jim’s Daily Rant. Rosalind Russell’s Auntie Mame.

I just finished watching Russell in her 1958 movie, Auntie Mame.

The movie was based on the book by the same name authored by Patrick Dennis. When he couldn’t sell the book he rewrote it as a stage play. Rosalind Russell played the title role. I read in an interview with her as how she first saw herself before she began training for the stage role of Mame. She said it was easy because she grew up with the play. She had an older sister with a high and mighty eccentric attitude about herself. Her family referred to her as “the Duchess”. In her mind she played her sister.

Today I also learned that Russell knew she should be a movie actress. To complete her plans she purchased the movie rights to the stage play. A few years later she sold the rights to Warner Brothers on the condition that she played the title role. This began her movie career.

It’s amazing how people who know who they are and where they are going can cash in on that foreknowledge and steer themselves to success. We who know of the Collapse and Reset, and know how it will free humanity and usher us into an all new way of living, should also be preparing ourselves. We should be seeing what our lives will be like and lean into that life. This is how we will recreate our future.

Keep looking forward and envisioning our future the way we want to create it. Leave the fear behind.
