It’s hard to believe just how polarized our country is today. I never dreamed of seeing this.

News out yesterday afternoon is about the strapping young man hitchhiking to Milwaukee. A long haul trucker stopped to assist him. Before letting him in the truck he asked “Are you a Democrat or Republican?” After the young man responded “Democrat” the trucker said “I am a Republican” and left him.

The same thing happened with the local box truck driver. It was then that the young man realized the Republican Convention was being held this week in Milwaukee. He knew what he had to do.

A sports car pulled over with a young filly in it. She asked if he were a Democrat or Republican. He said “Why of course I’m a Republican". He got in and she took off. Each time she shifted gears her short skirt got shorter and shorter.

Suddenly he hollered “Pull over and stop!” She did and he got out. She asked what was wrong. He said “I just can’t stand it. I’ve only been a Republican two minutes and already want to screw somebody!”

I have been trying not to post articles about the assassination attempt and will continue to ignore them. Although I am not a golfer, I will treat it as a golfer would do. I am only focused on where the ball lays now, not how it got here. Those details do not matter. All that does is where we are as a country and where we go next.
