The past month I decided to turn a defensive shooting deck into a multi-use expansion for young Grand-Kids, an older Pre-Tween Grand-Daughter, and adult mediation use.
The Original Deck.
The deck was designed and created 10 years ago when we first moved to the hobby farm. I was still running my Resetus.us website and my wife requested that I make the extended family a safe haven if the chaos required it. I did so and continued the website with peace of mind. It was the only way I could continue to risk writing Rants.
We designed our position to accommodate 60 persons, freely. See: Pensacola Preppers (Manual).
The deck was raised 8 feet high and was a 4’ X 8’ deck concealed behind a tree-line to bolster the front gate guard if overwhelmed. The sniper would lay down as it had no walls. From the gate it appeared behind the top of a Christmas tree; no one would suspect it. It also served as a hunter deer-stand for our sons.
The Primary Goal was to train Octavia, our almost 10 year old Grand Daughter in Project Management as well as start her in the Woo Woo world of Manifestation. It’s a lot easier to teach a child than an adult. Tavi is by personalty like her father, a natural born leader, 7% of the population.
So I contracted with her to “finish design and cause” the project to become. She was not to do physical work. It was in two stages, the top and bottom. She preformed brilliantly on the complex top. I paid her 60% of the contract price and a $40 bonus. She used it on a family one day excursion to New Orleans on a train and back that night.
She got tied up on sport teams and never got back to the second half of the project. I couldn’t get her to meet with me for a month. Her parents did not prod her. I think they thought it was a useless something for her that she was too old for. I don’t think it was a class designed for her.
I believe that in Manifestation, once you command the Universe to create for you, you step back and must receive it when it comes. If you change your mind and do not complete the cycle it causes difficulty in your next manifestation. So I had to step in for her un-commanded crew and complete it myself.
However, I created a plaque on it stating “Created by Octavia Gibson, Project Manager, 2025). This insures her bragging rights and gives her a scalp to hang on her belt, making her see herself as a Project Manager. I was not able to begin discussion on Manifestation. Hopefully another time.

The top is designed similar to a square sailed ship. Tavi, an only child, can teach the younger ones how to hoist the 6 masts and tie them off. Then hoist the overhead awning and horizontal supports. The tables will have to be installed; all things to keep them busy and learning. When through, they will have to stow it. She added and designed the climbing rails and safety harness and hoist so nothing is carried up the steps.
The bottom has an outside fire ring and an inside Rocket Stove for cooking. It has two lounging canvas chairs and two sleeping hammocks if desired. There are 4 kerosene lamps. It is a place for privacy and space, meditation, a hangout. It is convertible to a wall tent by installing a clear shower curtain on the front and blue tarps on the sides.
