Jim’s Daily Rant. Man Overboard Procedure Training.

A few months ago I watched a series of videos training sail boaters. One didn’t seem to fit. It was an interview of a 60 year old Florida man who bought his first sailboat, had just completed his Coast Guard small Boat training and was taking his friends out for his first daily cruise with others. Before pulling out he trained them in Man Overboard procedures.

They were five miles out in the gulf when they saw two porpoises off to their right. Then they saw a naked girl bobbing in the water. Her muscles were wasted and she was conscious yet unconscious; her mind was gone. They had to pull her dead weight aboard. Later she said the night before she was skinny dipping with two friends and the gulf tide pulled her out. The captain said he trained the crew because he realized he could be the man overboard.

I don’t know if you are the leader of the family or not, but no matter. Everyone in the family needs to be trained to lead your survival group instantly. The leader may be missing, sick, exhausted or worse yet, depressed and unable to lead.

I suggest everyone read Family Prepping for a half hour, then spend 90 minutes reading Group Survival. I know, there are only four of you, but over time it may be half the neighborhood. These two articles will give you your Phd in prepping and leadership.

Do it today while your heads are clear. Your Poseidon will be flipping upside down later this month. Best of luck to you Cap’n.

P. S. Guys, tell your wife that's why you always keep your eyes out for neked women.

Download all these PDF files because the Internet will be down for a short time when you may need them the most.
