My wife is always saying that about the Reset. Until that happens its hard for her to trust the plan.

I understand. We all have expectation, caution and even personal filters that impacts what comes into our belief system.

The first case I studied in Contract Law was Hawkens vs McGhee (1929). A young man’s hand was badly burned by an electric line to the point that it was unusable. A surgeon experimenting with skin grafts offered to make it perfect again for free. He took skin from his back and replaced the scared tissue.

The result was the boy had perfect use of his hand with one problem. He now had a hairy hand. He sued for damages. The case became famous because it defined how damages in contract law should be calculated. It was to be the difference of the value of what was promised and delivered. That was it.

That case haunted me for about a year until I checked it further. I could not understand why he sued when he ended up with a healthy functioning hand. What was his grudge, his life’s filter?

I believe he was from the Ozark Mountain region. In that area a hairy hand was the sign of being a werewolf. The young man couldn’t get laid and that had to be factored into the judgment!
