When I was around 40, my sister Jean gave me a Tee Shirt for my birthday. She knew I was always exploring philosophy so she bought a Tee shirt with the famous tenant of the grandfather of philosophy, Descartes. Well, it wasn’t really the tenant because that is stated in the title above.
Her gift was a corollary a misguided idiot like myself might be relying on, “I don’t think much therefore I might not be.”
I wore it to a community gathering one afternoon and a 40ish woman with a few kids passed me and broke out laughing. She obviously was just as misguided as I was. I think we were both ahead of our times because it is being suggested by Clif High that Descartes was wrong in his world view.
