Jim’s Daily Rant. CEO Rainmakers Beware.

Jim Costa

I said I wasn't going to take the bait on this news story but yesterday I started with this article just out of curiosity and it really got me to thinking. See: IS SYSTEMIC CORRUPTION LEADING TO VIGILANTE JUSTICE?. Of course, it was about the assassination of the CEO of United-Healthcare.

The article showed a ranking of about 10 of the most notorious, possibly fraudulent

claims payment systems that are out there. United Healthcare was ranked as the worst for not paying 36% of their claims.

Then I ran across this article put out by State Of The Nation. United-Healthcare CEO Assassination Solved: COVID VAX GENOCIDE COVER-UP!

This morning’s research turned up this oldie but goodie 2010 Global healthcare fraud costs put at $260 billion.

I don't know if that CEO was killed because of fraud or not. But my guess is he pissed somebody off, or his company pissed somebody off.

Fraud is not new to the world. It's been around ever since the first homo Sapien boy grew up to get a job and walk upright carrying a briefcase.

Fraud is rampant everywhere. Last week I went to a doctor for my annual checkup and when I was in the waiting room I noticed that the receptionist was making phone calls to health insurance companies to verify their patient’s insurance was still in force. I'm assuming she was doing this before the people showed up for their appointments. That's an anti-fraud tactic if I ever saw one. But it demonstrates it cuts both ways.

And let's face it folks, fraud is a very easy way to get wealthy, Just ask John Grisham. He's the author of the 1995 book The Rainmaker, which later resulted in the movie.

If you don’t recall it, it was about a young attorney taking on his first case after becoming an attorney. It was a fraud case against a health insurance company. Rudy Baylor was his name, and he ended up taking down the health insurance company because of the rampant fraud it had committed on its customers. Of course this company was fictitious, but in the end the jury awarded so much in damages that it bankrupted the company.

As I recall, this fictitious company was refusing to pay 90% of the claims filed against it. And today, though, with United, they're actually not paying 36%. But that’s still a big number.

A year ago Clif High predicted that in December 2024 vigilantes would start taking street justice the point that many would fear walking outside.
