I'm betting 25 cents that the gumment at least PARTIALLY shuts down Oct 1. Leaders have announced a bare bones stopgap plan thru mid-Dec, but, "The Secret Service funding also comes with a string attached, with lawmakers making it contingent on the Department of Homeland Security providing certain information to a House task force and Senate committee investigating the assassination attempts made against Trump." This might be a deal breaker.
Why would I bet an entire quarter FRN? The 2024 congressional calendar is clear for all of Oct and only gets back to SCHEDULED business AFTER Election 2024. Is congress planning to bug out? How many congress peeps are real and how many are doubles? Expand your thinking...what sort of surprises start next week? Will the budget crisis finally be VERY different this time?
We will likely have an election (attempt), but it won't be routine, and final results are likely to be overcome by staged chaos events.
