My first thoughts were:

1. This guy is an idiot,...

2. is hiding something from his wife, or...

3. left his cold wallet plugged into a hot device.

Explanation:  In VERY simple terms, crypto funds are just special files that require special software to decode and manipulate.  A lot like document files that need apps to use them, think Word, Exel, etc.

A cold wallet in simple terms is just a thumb drive with some software to assist in offline storage and organization of crypto files.  It is not connected to the internet and is not hackable unless infected with a trojan horse and/or hidden wireless coms.  A cold wallet becomes HOT when plugged into a phone or PC.

Of course the guy could also be running a psyop to scare the public away from crypto.

I am sitting on the crypto sidelines until after the great shakeout.  A credit/debit card free of tyrannical restrictions is all I need for online transactions and expenses away from home.
