DOJ released a list of regions harboring criminals, I wonder if they'll hold local officials responsible for committing crimes under Federal law?

I guess the SCOTUS will have to get involved.

harboring or concealing criminals is a federal offense. Specifically, 18 U.S.C. § 1071 criminalizes concealing a person from arrest, while 18 U.S.C. § 1072 addresses concealing an escaped prisoner. These statutes prohibit actions taken to prevent the arrest of individuals for whom a warrant or other legal process has been issued. Additionally, 18 U.S.C. § 792 addresses harboring or concealing individuals involved in espionage or related offenses.
