Clif is very correct - today's modern bibles are the results of heavy tweaking and editing over the past 6000 years or whatever. Gotta control that narrative - fake religion, fake history, fake gumment.

A comparison of 2 parallel bible passages reveals much more than a mouthful, more than a meal, more like a roasted elephant belly. These 2 verses answer a lingering question I pondered for at least 10 years.

Note: "number" means to count, a census

2 Samuel 24:1 - And again the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.

1 Chronicles 21:1 - And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.
