I dare to say that anyone who studies law falls in love with it. I believe it is because of its simplistic formula of focusing on logic and the pared down facts, devoid of any emotion.
Yesterday my wife was watching the first witness testify in the Impeachment hearing when I walked through the house. I watched two minutes of it, got disgusted and walked out saying I was not going to waste my time. After mulling over my feelings I went back in and explained my anger to her.
What I saw was a law professor selling out his love for the law by abandoning all facts, operating only on conjecture, highly mixed with his hatred for an individual, all while totally ignoring logic. That was a professional sham!
How dare a person of his credentials destroy the very thing we both love by dragging his hatred into the equation. I witnessed a man committing suicide of his entire life while his body alone survives. It was sickening.
