If you have seen the movies The Big Short and Margin Call then you will know what I am about to say here.
Friday, July 27, 2018 may be seen by history as our generations' “Black Friday” - the Black Friday of 1929. The stock market doesn’t just lose a couple hundred Billion dollars (counting losses to continue Monday) in today’s world on a Friday without margin calls coming into play when big banks are forced to pay off derivative guarantees that such losses cannot occur.
This may be a long weekend for the government as the bankers seek another round of bailouts in order to keep kicking the can down the road. Then again, Monday may be the day that the bankers finally fail in their hundred year reign.
