Make certain you have storable food, potable water, and extra medications with you, when the excrement hits the ventilation system; prepping means never having to say you're sorry to a crying, hungry child with nothing to eat. Canvas your neighbors, and see with whom you would feel comfortable bartering goods and services. We are probably looking at a long-term geopolitical/financial discomfort and upheaval, when things go to hell, and unless there is some kind of divine intervention, this is precisely what I see coming.
