Jim’s Rant For The Day. Vietnam Empty Handedness.

Time for another mind experiment. Suppose you were a soldier in the Vietnam War and your platoon was ordered on another search and destroy the enemy mission. But this one is different. You are ordered to not carry weapons as they are no longer needed. Intelligence now has very expensive machines that monitor all roads into the jungle that indicates there are no enemy weapons in the area, and if they are wrong, they can get you fire support within 16 minutes. How would you feel?

After you return home, you are told the same thing about no personal guns and new expensive body scanners at entrances to buildings to protect you. Now how do you feel?
