Jim’s Rant For The Day. Hurricane Riddle.

If a chicken and a half lays an egg and a half in a minute and a half, how much would a pound of butter weigh? It only took me two weeks as a child to figure that one out. But now I face a riddle to resolve and it must be resolved in just a week or so. Please help me.

How does a tropical depression in the middle of the Atlantic suddenly jump from a depression to a Category 2 hurricane in just 10 minutes? Then on top of that, how can it become a category 2 hurricane, expecting to be a category 4 in another two days, still in the Atlantic, when we have always been told that the storm must enter the hot waters of the Gulf basin to become a hurricane in the first place, which it is not?

Is it possible that this is either man made or a lie by the Weather Service to pin down the news conversation?
